More than 30 years of experience in sales and marketing (…and still learning every day)
More than 30 years ago I had the fortune to start my professional journey in the sales world, more specifically, in the health care sector.
And I think I was very lucky because my career was not going in the sales direction until January 1988. In my case, like many others, the coincidences of life took a key role through a conversation with a friend of mine, Josep Ruiz, who was stating his career as a medical rep.
I hold a degree in History, and I was more focused on understanding the past, in research, and teaching than to deep into the customer’s needs to provide a solution.

Selling is a highly complex and demanding job
Sales were for me a life choice because it meant to give up my trajectory to take a new way. At that time I was not suspecting that the world that was opening would provide me such personal growth, learnings, and satisfaction.
I have had the opportunity to develop many different commercial positions: First Line Manager, Head of Sales, Head of Marketing, Business Franchise Head, Commercial Excellence Head… and, if I have to highlight specific learning it would be the need to constantly ask ourselves on how we can add more value to our customers, patients, and society. During my entire career, I had the chance to work with excellent professionals and I can ensure that the best of them share this particular obsession: “how could I add more value?”.
The key question: How we can add more value to customers and do it sustainably?
The search for answers to the above question is the reason why I created QuantumSell. I strongly believe that the most wonderful aspect of selling is that is a human activity and this is why (and fo my humanistic background) I’m convinced about the need to deeply understand persons to help them to reach objectives, dreams and, this is in my opinion, excellence is selling.
Another characteristic I would like to share is my interest in all subjects related to human creation: music, literature, philosophy, politics, economy… they are disciplines I see as mandatory to deep into people motivations, to grow in our capability to empathize which is a pillar in the selling process.

Continously “sharpen the saw”
I’m a Stephen Covey follower and admirer and I try to apply constantly his habit nº 7: “sharpen the saw”. To my is needed to allocate time to improve, to learn, to think in better solutions for my personal and professional environment in the intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual aspects.
